Back in 2020, during a catch-up, we reflected on the challenges founders face when raising funds.

The costs were staggering - legal documents alone could run up to £10k just to raise £1m. Beyond that, many founders were navigating blind: unsure how to find investors, value their business, or handle SEIS/EIS. As founders and investors ourselves, we also saw the imbalance of knowledge between founders and investors - and it didn't sit right with us.

We talked about the high cost of legal services, the lack of accessible support, and how needlessly complex the process felt for startups with limited resources.

So, we built FounderCatalyst - to simplify the journey and level the playing field.
